Student Elections Campaign Complaint Form

All candidates are expected to know all of the rules and regulations herein and will not be given any warnings.

List of Violations :

1. No campaign literature may be distributed prior to the official start of the Campaign Period.

2. Harassment and intimidation of any member of the SERC expressed or implied.

3. Failure to abide by any rule set forth in the Elections Code.

4. Electioneering within the restricted polling area specified by SERC.

5. Interfering with a student’s ability to vote freely without intrusion of any type.

6. Removing or defacing another candidate’s publicity and/or damaging college property.

7. Defacing any college property; this includes altering any property without institutional permission.

8. Use of unauthorized endorsements.

9. The use of any duplicating or digital equipment purchased with Student Activity Fees or auxiliary Enterprise monies are prohibited.

10. The use of bullhorns or any sound amplifiers is prohibited for campaigning inside the Academic Core Building or other buildings on campus.

11. Rallying or demonstrating in classrooms, hallways, the library, or lounges is prohibited.

12. No negative campaigning against another candidate is allowed.

13. Student candidates may campaign in any classroom, virtual or live, only at the discretion of the faculty.

14. Use of public address system for campaigning purposes during the election and campaign periods (including bullhorns).

15. Any action that fails to abide by the conduct expected of York College students as described in the Student Handbook.

*Using another student’s personal information for the purpose of voting. This is constituting as fraud and may put the violator at risk of expulsion from the institution.
